            <p>Sarah Amelia (Sally) Jarvis was born in Newburgh, New York on April 7, 1828 and passed away on October 12 1966. She enrolled at Wheaton Seminary at the age of fifteen in 1843. She married James J. Whited in 1849.</p>

            <p>Sarah A. Jarvis contains twenty letters between Sarah, friends, and family, while she was a student at Wheaton Female Seminary, 1843. The papers also contain forty letters between Sally, friends, and family concerning family affairs, 1843 -1850.</p>
