Peer Research Tutors

What is Peer Research Tutoring?

Wallace Library Peer Research Tutors (PRTs) are Wheaton students who have been trained to help you with all aspects of your library research.

We can help you:

  • understand your assignment, choose a topic, and develop a research question;
  • plan your research, brainstorm keywords, and navigate databases;
  • find and evaluate both scholarly and popular sources; and
  • create and manage citations.

How Does it Work?

You can find the PRTs in the Scholars Lab on the Library’s Main Floor:

  • Fridays, 4:00 – 6:30 PM
  • Sundays, 4:00 – 6:30 PM

You don’t need to make an appointment, just stop by and bring:

  • your laptop (if you have one),
  • your assignment,
  • your questions, ideas, and concerns.

Hi! My name is Sarah and I’m an English major with minors in Biology and Theatre. I love looking at the ways different topics and disciplines connect and interweave, particularly in unconventional ways. When I’m not in class, my hobbies include playing video games, reading short stories and nonfiction, and watching silly movies with my friends.
