My capstone project is about black bodies and the relationship they have with mental health. I focused on black students and how they have experienced mental health in their lives. The reason for my research is to understand the mental health differences that the black community faces as well as the origin of the stigma that we have seemed to put on the topic of mental health. There are a lot of factors that can affect one’s mental health and, with the help of my interviewees, I was able to catch a glimpse into their lives and their thoughts on these topics.
