What does it mean to be part of a Liberal Arts institution? How do successful Wheaton students take in information, academically speaking? This study utilized the Visual, Auditory, Writing/Reading, and Kinesthetic (VARK) model to see where 50 academically successful students stood in this range of learning styles. In this research project, I had set out to answer if there is a relationship between a college student’s learning style/preference, according to the VARK (visual, auditory, reading/writing, kinesthetic) model, and their average grades (or academic performance)?
